Join local fiber artist Pachia Vang for an informative and inspiring afternoon of learning about Paj Ntaub, or "Flower Cloth," a textile art passed down through generations in the HMong community. In this workshop, you'll be introduced to paj ntaub dhos, an appliqué technique that involves cutting, layering, and stitching fabric to create intricate surface design patterns. You'll have the opportunity to craft your own small textile to take home, while learning about the significance of traditional Hmong motifs that are integral to indigenous HMong knowledge systems, rooted in a relationship to land -- both lost and remade.
