March Mend-a-Thon: March 9th, 2025
Sunday, March 9th, 2025
1 - 3 pm
Welcome to the March Mend-a-Thon, a beginner-friendly sewing workshop that invites you to explore the art of creative mending and sustainable fashion practices. In this hands-on class, you'll learn essential sewing techniques, from hand-sewing to machine basics. Discover the joy of creative mending through embroidery, patches, and decorative stitches, turning visible repairs into unique style statements. Tackle common garment issues, from holes to missing buttons, and bring your own item for personalized guidance. Meet other eco-conscious individuals, share tips, and contribute to a more sustainable wardrobe—one stitch at a time. March Mend-a-Thon is not just a workshop; it's an opportunity to make a positive impact on your clothing and the environment.
(PS- if you don’t have anything to repair but would still like to come and learn, no problem! We can provide some practice materials!)
Thanks to some grant funding, this class is FREE!
