BYO sewing machine and get familiar with it, in Pt. 2 of our ongoing “Meet Your Machine” series. In this class, we’ll review the basics of threading and winding a bobbin, and then continue on with learning about different types of needles, different stitches, and adjusting tension. We’ll practice changing settings for different types of fabric and even tackle a small project!

  • Cancellation Policy: Please send an email to broadclothsac@gmail.com no less than 48 hours prior to the class so that we have a chance to let someone else have that spot! Cancellations and no-shows on the day of the event are not eligible for a refund.

  • Materials will be provided through the Free Art Supply Closet but you are welcome to bring your own!

  • Please ring the doorbell at the front door (the tall purple door next to the Art is a Human Right mural at 1409 Del Paso Blvd) to be let into the studio.

  • There is a port-o-potty, but no bathroom, so please plan accordingly if you don't want to use a port-o-potty!

  • There are large fans in the studio, but no heat or AC, so please dress accordingly and bring water or other weather-appropriate beverage. Snacks are also welcome!

  • There are two cats that live in the studio. If you are allergic, please let us know - we can make accommodations for you but cannot guarantee the space will be free of dander.
